The design and implementation of new functionalities, such as version control and license checking, for a windows-based mass spectrometry data analysis application are presented in this report. New features, such as user access control, newsletter, statistics and geotagging, have been added into a web application and their development are also presented in this work. Web services have been used to implement version control and license checking. As a result, software update is facilitated and illegal copies of the application are prevented. Changes in the web application provide to end users personalized pages and the possibility to subscribe to newsletters. From the company’s perspectives, these features allow to deliver content to target users. Geotagging and statistics allow the company to gather information about which, where and when a web page from their web site has been accessed. In summary, results are in accordance to the provided requirements.
