Abstract [en]

In society of today of all employees have a seated work. Therefore it is impotant that the chair used, commonly an office chai, is comfortable and prevent overload injuries. In this study threee different office charis and how they contribute to keep the posture in different positions were investigated. Ten test subjects were sitting in each of the three charis and in three different positions. During the sitting sessions the muscle activity in the back muscles, the trapezius muscle and the erector spinae muscle by the vertebrae of T4-T5 and L1-L2, was measured. While the muscle activity was measured an angle measurement was performed to investigate the curvature of the back. Afterwards the test subjects filled in a questionnaire.
