Abstract [sv]

The aim of this investigation is to analyse the strategies chosen by the translator in the translation of Naboht´s stone by Sara Lidman. The chosen aspects involve the translation of deviating words, dialect and archaic language, names and literary means of expression. The study is an attempt to identify the translation strategies used, to find out why these particular strategies have been chosen and to what effect in the translation.
