Abstract [en]

The essay investigated attitudes and usage of English words in Swedish, and the differences between people of different age and gender. This investigation is made through a survey. Word emigration and immigration are also studied together with the phenomenon of pseudo-loanwords and the differences of American English loanwords and British English loanwords. The essay also shows some Swedish language preservers. The results from the survey of the essay show more distinct age differences than gender differences.
