Abstract [sv]

I slutsatsen

trivsel.

Abstract [en]

In order to promote employee health, manager’s leadership and their behavior are

crucial factors. There is a need to understand Generation Z (people born between 1995–

2012) and their characteristics, which have increased since this generation is the newest

on the labor market. It is a relatively new research area to investigate how manager’s

leadership affects employee well-being. The purpose of the study is to highlight how

Generation Z's ability to develop and maintain good health in their workplace is affected

by managers' leadership. The study's method was based on a qualitative method, a

hermeneutic approach, and an abductive approach. Twelve semi-structured interviews

were conducted with people within Generation Z. The main results showed that

managers' leadership has a significant impact on the interviewees within the generation,

and their ability to develop and maintain good health in their workplace. The conclusion

was that leadership characterized by clear communication, support, trust, and providing

opportunities for participation creates good conditions for motivation, development, and

satisfaction.
