Abstract [en]

The study mainly addresses the research related to authentic leadership and employee performances in Sri Lanka, which inherent unique culture and organizational context. Therefore, this thesis investigates the relationship between authentic leadership and employee performance in the Sri Lankan apparel industry by using a mixed methods approach. The study analyses the quantitative data that was gathered by using Google Forms, which is popular tool compared to the others. Qualitative data was gathered through semi-structured interviews and extracted insights through the thematic analysis process. During the literature review, employee motivation was highlighted as a crucial factor connected with authentic leadership practices that influence employee performance. The study finally aims to contribute to both conceptual clarity and practical implications for leadership development in the industry context, particularly in the apparel sector in Sri Lanka. The study findings also help to enhance employee satisfaction and productivity by using Authentic leadership.
