Abstract [en]

The growing global demand for renewable energy solutions has risen sharply as societies aimto mitigate climate change impacts and transition to sustainable power sources. Due to itsabundance, scalability, and environmental benefits, solar energy stands out among thesesolutions. However, the intermittency of solar and wind power necessitates reliable energystorage systems to ensure consistent energy supply. Integrating solar energy and storagetechnologies, particularly within modular construction frameworks, holds significant potentialfor transforming the energy landscape into a more resilient, decentralized, and sustainablesystem.Modular construction, which involves off-site prefabrication of building components, offersnumerous advantages over traditional methods, including faster project completion, reducedmaterial wastage, and enhanced quality control. This approach is especially beneficial forconstructing solar-integrated energy storage systems. Batteries, such as lithium-ion and flowbatteries, provide long-term energy storage with high energy density. At the same time, supercapacitors offer rapid response capabilities to manage short-term power fluctuations dueto their high power density. In this Project, we discuss and analyze the adaptability of variousenergy storage systems, such as batteries and supercapacitors in a solar-powered system.
