Advances in smart home technology offer promising solutions to enhance the safety of children in the home environment. This study examines smart safety technologies for childrens at home and parental concerns and experience before and after of smart safety technology usage. The research addresses the question: How do smart home technologies enhance child safety? What are parents’ concerns and experiences regarding child safety at home? To answer this question, the study used a qualitative approach,with semi-structured interviews with 10 parents to explore their concerns and experiences regarding child safety at home. Thematic analysis was applied to the interview data to identify patterns and key themes. The literature review investigates smart home systems such as security cameras, smart locks, environmental sensors, and comprehensive monitoring solutions.Findings from the interviews highlight the real-world benefits and challenges parents face based on children’s safety. The results conclude that smart home technologies significantly contribute to creating safer home environments for children, These insights contribute to researchers,designers for creating child safety technologies.
