Abstract [en]

This thesis presents the development of DigiCoach, a digital coaching platform designed to address the inefficiencies and inconsistencies in the employee coaching process at Quokka AB, particularly in the interactions between team members and their leaders. The current coaching setup lacks structure, particularly in the preparation of sessions, goal setting, progress tracking, and maintaining a coaching journal. Furthermore, it fails to provide mechanisms for coachees to set boundaries, leading to potential discomfort and disengagement. The research involved identifying the key challenges faced by both coaches and coachees and determining the essential features required in a digital solution to enhance the coaching experience. The result is a prototype mobile application that offers a structured, interactive, and personalized environment for coaching. Key features include a database connection for user data, communication tools, progress logging, and visual task tracking. The platform aims to foster individual growth, development, and well-being by providing a more effective and engaging coaching experience.

Denna avhandling presenterar utvecklingen av DigiCoach, en digital coachingplattform utformad för att hantera ineffektivitet och brister i medarbetar coachingprocessen på Quokka AB, med särskilt fokus på interaktionen mellan teammedlemmar och deras ledare. Den nuvarande coachingsuppsättningen saknar struktur, särskilt i förberedelserna av möten, målsättning, uppföljning av framsteg och upprätthållandet av en coachingjournal. Dessutom saknas mekanismer för coacheer att sätta gränser, vilket kan leda till obehag och bristande engagemang. Forskningen innefattade att identifiera de största utmaningarna som både coacher och coacheer står inför samt att fastställa de nödvändiga funktionerna som krävs i en digital lösning för att förbättra coachingupplevelsen. Resultatet är en prototyp av en mobilapplikation som erbjuder en strukturerad, interaktiv och personlig miljö för coaching. Viktiga funktioner inkluderar en databaskoppling för användardata, kommunikationsverktyg, loggning av framsteg och visuell uppgiftsspårning. Plattformen syftar till att främja individuell tillväxt, utveckling och välbefinnande genom att erbjuda en mer effektiv och engagerande coachingupplevelse.
