Problemformulering: Hur har ledarskap och motivation påverkats av kris? 

 

Syfte: Syftet med denna studie är att utforska hur krisen påverkar ledarskap och motivation, och om förändringarna är permanenta eller tillfälliga.

Avgränsning: Vi har valt att begränsa vår studie till att endast undersöka företag som befinner sig i södra Sverige. För att begränsa studien mer har vi valt att ha kris i fokus och hur det påverkar ledarskap och motivation.  

 

Metod: För den här uppsatsen har en kvalitativ studie och en abduktiv forskning genomförts. Den teoretiska referensramen har utformats och samlats in från böcker och vetenskapliga källor med stöd från olika sökmotorer. För att kunna besvara studiens forskningsfråga har det genomförts åtta semistrukturerade intervjuer. 

 

Slutsats: Studiens resultat visar att kris har varit avgörande för dagens ledarskap och motivation. Resultatet visar att ledarskapet har förändrats efter kris i form av att metoderna som tillämpats under kris blivit permanenta till. Idag är ledarskapet mer tjänande, autentiskt och stödjande som prioriterar öppen och ärlig kommunikation. Studien visar även att inre motivationsfaktorer är något som prioriteras hos medarbetarna.

Title: A study on how leadership and motivation are affected by crisis.Author: Sarhad Nafhoush & Zyad RashoSupervisor: Jean-Charles LanguilaireKeywords: Leadership, Motivation, Leadership styles and crisisProblem formulation: How has leadership and motivation been affected bythe crisis?Purpose: The purpose of this study is to explore how the crisis impactsleadership and motivation, and whether the changes are permanent ortemporary.Delimitation: We have chosen to limit our study to only examiningcompanies located in southern Sweden. To limit the study more, we havechosen to focus on crisis and how it affects leadership and motivation.Method: For this essay, a qualitative study and abductive research have beenconducted. The theoretical frame of reference has been designed and collectedfrom books and scientific sources with support from various search engines.To answer the study's research question, eight semi-structured interviewshave been conducted.Conclusion: The study's results show that crisis has been decisive for today'sleadership and motivation. The result shows that the leadership has changedafter the crisis in the form that the methods applied during the crisis havebecome permanent. Today, leadership is more servant, authentic andsupportive that prioritizes open and honest communication. The study alsoshows that internal motivation factors are prioritized by the employees.
