This study explores and compares scheduling and follow-up practices in construction projects between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and Sweden. By applying qualitative methods, including previous literature studies and interviews with experts in the construction industry in both countries, the thesis aims to gain an in-depth understanding of the differences and similarities that characterize the time planning and follow-up processes in these two contexts.

The results of the study highlight the specific methods used in KSA and Sweden and identify the underlying factors that influence the effectiveness and success of these methods. The study shows that the two countries have sufficient technical capacity for development and efficiency. The most influencing role in the time planning is the difference in the use of competencies and experiences, the work environment and leadership and their impact on the work. By analysing and comparing data from the different sources, this work aims to contribute to insights that can be useful for improving the scheduling and follow-up of construction projects, not only in KSA and Sweden.

This comparative study is expected not only to increase the understanding of cultural and organizational differences between the two countries but also to provide practical advice and recommendations to promote effective time planning and follow-up in the construction sector. By using a qualitative methodology, this work strives to offer an indepth insight into an important aspect of project management and contribute to the development of knowledge in the field. 

Denna studie utforskar och jämför schemaläggning och uppföljningsmetoder ibyggprojekt mellan KSA och Sverige. Genom att tillämpa kvalitativa metoder, inklusivetidigare litteraturstudier och intervjuer med experter inom byggbranschen i båda länderna,syftar avhandlingen till att få en fördjupad förståelse för de skillnader och likheter somkännetecknar tidsplanerings- och uppföljningsprocesserna i dessa två sammanhang.Resultaten av studien belyser de specifika metoder som används i KSA och Sverige ochidentifierar de bakomliggande faktorer som påverkar effektiviteten och framgången fördessa metoder. Studien visar att de två länderna har tillräcklig teknisk kapacitet förutveckling och effektivitet. Det som spelar en avgörande roll för tidsplaneringen ärskillnaden i användandet av kompetenser och erfarenheter, samt arbetsmiljö ochledarskap och deras inverkan på arbetet.Genom att analysera och jämföra data från de olika källorna syftar detta arbete till attbidra med insikter som kan vara användbara för att förbättra schemaläggning ochuppföljning av byggprojekt, inte bara i KSA och Sverige.Denna jämförande studie förväntas inte bara öka förståelsen för kulturella ochorganisatoriska skillnader mellan de två länderna utan också ge praktiska råd ochrekommendationer för att främja effektiv tidsplanering och uppföljning inombyggsektorn. Genom att använda en kvalitativ metodik strävar detta arbete efter att ge enfördjupad inblick i en viktig aspekt av projektledning och bidra till kunskapsutvecklingeninom området
