Abstract [sv]

Results: The three categories of the result were limitations in everyday life with the subcategories limitations related to treatments, physical impact and social isolation. The second category that emerged was difficulties due to restrictions and the third was the need for support with the subcategories the importance of relatives and the importance of care staff. Conclusion: The participants experienced difficulties in everyday life related to physical, psychological and social factors. The problem was connected to the great time spent in hospitals, physical symptoms and food and fluid restrictions. It was hard to make everyday life work and most participants felt socially isolated. The need for support was big, both from relatives and nursing staff.
