Abstract [sv]

Our Bachelor degree project is about the Meniett, which is a device for treating people with Menières disease. About 0.5% of the worlds population suffers from this ear-disease. The symptoms are nausea, dizziness and reduced hearing. After almost 15 years of medical research a new way of treating the patient was discovered, by applying controlled compressed air in the ear the the symptoms disappears. The Meniett, developed by Pascal Medical AB in Halmstad, makes it easy for the patient to treat himself. Everytime the Meniett is used information is stored in a log inside the Meniett. This log will be used by the doctor to see how the treatment is going. Today there is no easy way for the doctor to examine the log. Our task was to develop a program that evaluates and presents the log.
