    Abstract [en]

    Social Workers work in the Social Services Addiction Unit is challenged to meet the client's needs while responding to the organization's resources. This is due to insufficient resources placed on abuse because the target group is not a priority. Therefore, it is important that social workers have a margin of action to make thoughtful actions in relation to both parties. The purpose of the essay is to investigate and analyze the factors that social workers perceive may affect the social investigative work and how social workers experience power in the investigative work with adult clients who have ongoing abuse problems. The purpose is expressed in issues that take into account what opportunities and limitations social workers experience in the law investigation work and how they experience the exercise of power in relation to the client in investigation according to the law.

    The study is based on 7 qualitative semi structured interviews with social workers who work with investigations with substance abusers in Halland and Skåne County. The material was analyzed using Lipsky's concept discretion and Foucault's power theory. The results show that missions, laws and guidelines, resources, customer attitude and social workers' subjectivity are regarded by social security as both the possibilities and limitations in the SoL investigation. In addition, the social workers find that they have power in relation to the client with the help of knowledge about the subject, but they also have the ambition to lift the client that leads to a relational power. Social workers also act in an uncertainty where the social workers' scope for action, including factors that enable and limit the investigative work is important for the work in the social field.

    Syftet med denna studie är att öka förståelsen för hur personer med synliga fysiska funktionsnedsättningar upplever den psykosociala tillgängligheten i samhället och hur en eventuell brist av denna tillgänglighet påverkar dem känslomässigt. Studien använder sig av en kvalitativ metod med semistrukturerade intervjuer som datainsamlingsmetod. Studien är också inspirerad av en hermeneutisk ansatsmetod då syftet är att tolka informanternas upplevelse av till exempel bemötande från människor i samhället. Fem informanter i åldrarna 47-74 år deltog i studien och alla personerna hade själv olika former av synliga rörelsehinder, tre informanter är kvinnor och två är män. Studiens resultat visade på att dess informanter upplevde den psykosociala tillgängligheten, gällande exempelvis bemötandet och attityder, olika. Det syntes vissa tendenser till att skillnaden kunde bero på kön, där männen upplevde det generella bemötandet bättre än kvinnorna, men det kunde också bero på egna attityden, och/eller självacceptans. Att bemötandet inte alltid var tillfredsställande verkar bero på en kunskapsbrist vilket är något som informanterna upplever att samhället behöver arbeta mer med, framförallt inom skolan och hos politikerna. Resultatet analyserades, med hjälp av en tematisk analys, i förhållande till de vetenskapliga teorierna, stigmateorin och cripteorin, samt i förhållande till tidigare forskning inom ämnet.

    Abstract [en]

    The aim of this study was to get abetter understanding of howunit managers in eldercare describe how they view and use the Lex Sarah, existing knowledge on the subject and how they reason around the word anomaly. The study is qualitative and based on semi-structured interviews. The study is based on a hermeneutic approach because I wanted to know my respondents ideas and experiences concerning Lex Sarah. Six unit managers were interviewed. The managers describe their knowledge, how they used the Lex Sarah in operations and how they see the ills. The result of the study shows that the knowledge of the subject Lex Sarah needs to be improved both among unit managers and among staff. It also needs to be improved in the area of ​​reporting, there is a need for a more uniform approach to what a substantial risk of an anomaly is and when it should be reported. Today it`s classified in many different ways though it says in the rules that it should not be done. Respondents think that Lex Sarah is a good and necessary part of the systematic quality work at the same time they see it as guilt. The study has been analyzed using scientific theories organizational theories and management theories.

    Vi har i denna studie studerat före detta ungdomsproffs i fotboll och deras upplevelser och erfarenheter från denna tid. Vi var intresserade av att undersöka varför så många svenska ungdomsproffs återvänder till Sverige och vad det krävs för att lyckas som ungdomsproffs. Syftet med denna studie var att belysa elitsatsande ungdomsspelares erfarenheter från internationella fotbollsakademier, och deras uppfattningar om vad man behöver lära sig för att lyckas som ungdomsproffs. För att besvara syfte och frågeställningar genomförde vi intervjuer med tre före detta ungdomsproffs. Vi har utgått från situerat lärande som belyser hur nya individer kan ta sig in i en ny grupp eller praktik och blir en del av denna tillsammans med andra. Denna teori lägger fokus vid gruppen men i vår studie fann vi även individuella aspekter som var avgörande för att bli en del av praktiken. Allmänhetens uppfattning om vad det innebär att lyckas som ungdomsproffs stämmer inte överens med ungdomsproffsens egen uppfattning. Att återvända hem till Sverige ser allmänheten som ett misslyckande medans ungdomsproffsen ser tiden som en utbildning och en viktig erfarenhet för deras framtida fotbollskarriär.

    Abstract [en]

    The purpose of the study is to investigate how unit managers work with sick leave due to work-related mental health in public elderly care. Based on the aim, four issues have been worked out to develop and increase understanding of the study's problem area. The methodology of the study is qualitative interviews with a hermeneutic approach and thematic analysis as a method of processing. The qualitative interviews were conducted with nine unit managers from two different municipalities in southern Sweden. The results showed that unit managers have latitude to work preventively to reduce sick leave and that differs from how rehabilitation is handled. Unit managers in elderly care have clear guidelines when it comes to rehabilitation while preventive work does not have it. Therefor, unit manager have latitude for working more prevention to reduce sick leave. All respondents understood that preventive work is an important factor in reducing sick leave, but that time and number of employees can make it difficult for preventive work to be prioritized.

    Abstract [en]

    The important questions in a firm's internationalization strategy deal with which national markets they should enter and the order in which the chosen markets should be entered. Different theoretical scenarios provide a range of answers to these questions. In this article, it is argued that the appropriateness of the theories depends on the industrial context to which it is applied. The international development of some Swedish firms in mature and high-growth industries is discussed. Whether a theory is appropriate depends on the firms' degree of internationalization and whether the industry is mature or growing. International entrepreneurship literature has been shown to enhance understanding of the early stages of a firms' internationalization in growing industries.

    The issue of sick leave and an increase of ill health in the workplace is a social problem inSwedenthat is currently an important topic. Public human service organisations are one of the sectors where this is a major problem. The aim of this study is to examine what significance the leadership in public human service organisations has on the health and sense of well being among the staff within the organisation. We have chosen to look at this issue from a health promoting perspective where we focused on health factors and to what extent the management can influence and promote the possibilities for a healthy workplace with healthy staff. The results of the study are based on interviews with three leaders within the public human service sector. Results shows that having staff that are content and healthy is a key ingredient in the organisations goal to provide the best possible care and service to their clients. The results also identify leadership qualities and tools that are important such as being present in the workplace and available for the staff and also setting a good example. Other leadership qualities such as being clear in their role as to what they expect from their staff, being goal orientated, and being strong and secure in their leadership proved to be important in relation to health in the workplace. Making sure that the staff feel that they have the possibility to influence their working conditions and given the opportunity to participate in changes were also identified as important health promoting factors. The study also shows that showing trust in the staff and allowing them to take responsibility as well as seeing them as individuals is also important health promoting factors. It became evident that achieving a healthy workplace is a process where all the factors are equally important.

    My intention with this study is to examine how integration is understood andimplemented in the daily work with the purpose to integrate asylum-seeking childrenliving within residential care, which is a temporal care for asylum-seeking youths between15-20 years of age.More intentionally my aim is to study the essence of integration work with its benefits anddifficulties which is in this study described from youth pedagogues working with the focusto integrate asylum-seeking children. My aim is also to understand integration workmethods and its effects in the mission to integrate asylum-seeking youths. The study isbased on qualitative semi structure interviews of six youth pedagogues working inresidential care with the roll to integrate asylum-seeking children. The result in this studydescribes the understanding of integration in different ways which can explain thecomplicity in the roll youth pedagogues has got when integrating asylum-seeking children.Despite the lack of obvious methods, visions and goals with integration work, youthpedagogues give answers which leads us to believe that safety factors and risk factors isimportant factors to consider in attempting integration of asylum-seeking youths.     I stort sett nöjda, men...: Brukarnas erfarenheter och framtida bedömningar av LSS-insatserna i Laholms kommun2007Report (Other academic)

    Under hösten 2006 har Högskolan i Halmstad, på uppdrag av Laholms kommun, genomfört en brukarundersökning bland de kommuninvånare som tar del av insatser enligt lagen (1993:387) om stöd och service till vissa funktionshindrade (LSS). De totalt 183 brukarna som oktober 2006 hade LSS-insatser har getts möjligheten att besvara en enkät som berör fler områden av den dagliga tillvaron i Laholms kommun. Undersökningen har både syftat till att ge en nulägesbeskrivning samt en bild av önskningar och farhågor inför framtiden med avseende på de verksamheter som bedrivs på LSS-området i kommunen.

    Den grundläggande och viktigaste poängen med undersökningen är att belysa brukarnas egna upplevelser, erfarenheter och önskningar. En version av enkäten skickades ut till barn och ungdomar under 21 år och en annan sändes till vuxna över 22 år. Huvudresultaten i undersökningen presenteras nedan.

    • Av de totalt 183 utskickade enkäterna inkom 117 svar, vilket ger en total svarsfrekvens på 64 %.

    • Av dem som besvarat enkäterna är 53,4 % kvinnor/flickor och 46,6 % män/pojkar. Vid en uppdelning mellan barn/ungdomar och vuxna ser könsfördelningen ut enligt följande: Barn/ungdom: Flickor: 43,3 %, Pojkar: 56,7 % Vuxna: Kvinnor: 57 %, Män 43 %

    • Respondenternas erfarenheter och upplevelser av innehållet och utformningen av de insatser som man tar del av är över lag positiva. Detsamma gäller den hjälp och det bemötande man fått från flera olika personalkategorier samt det allmänna stödet och servicen i kommunen.

    • Kritiken som framkommer i enkätsvaren gäller främst brister i olika former av information. Kritiken berör både den faktiska förekomsten av information i allmänhet samt innehållet och omfånget av densamma i synnerhet. Kritik framkom även kring de otillräckliga insatser som några ansåg sig ha samt om den avstannade utveckling och snålhet som vissa av respondenterna anser råda i kommunen.

    • Särskilt i enkätsvaren från barn och ungdomar tecknas en bild av en relativt utbredd ensamhetsproblematik i kommunen. Hela 44,4 % i ålderskategorin 0-21 år säger att man inte har några vänner som man träffar och att man för det mesta är ensam.

    • De närmaste 5-10 åren behöver barnen och ungdomarna insatser som man inte tar del av idag. Detta gäller särskilt insatserna daglig verksamhet och boende för vuxna. Bland önskemålen inför framtiden återfinns små gruppbostäder, egna lägenheter och kooperativa boenden.

    • De närmaste 5-10 åren behöver de vuxna brukarna insatser inom de insatser som man tar del av idag. Man vill helt enkelt ha mer av de insatser som man har idag. Önskemålen gäller såväl boende som sysselsättning och övriga insatser.

    Knowledge about people with intellectual disability (ID) and their connections to the labor market is scarce. The aim of this study was to describe and analyze the entry into and representation in the Swedish labor market for people with ID, discussed with a special focus on the gender perspective. This study included 2,745 individuals (30% women and 70% men) who graduated from Swedish upper secondary schools for pupils with intellectual disability (USSID) in the 2000s, and who were defined as employees in 2011. Graduation data from 2001 to 2011 were analyzed in relation to employment data from 2011 and adjusted for gender, graduation year, and educational program. Results show that men who attended a national USSID program and graduated between 2001 and 2006 were the most likely group to have a job. The authors conclude that the gender differences in the Swedish labor market are more clearly pronounced among women and men with ID in relation to employment rate, wage levels, and professions than in the general population. Education, welfare-services, and interventions specifically targeted to meet the needs of people with ID have to develop in more gender-sensitive ways. © 2016 International Association for the Scientific Study of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and Wiley Periodicals, Inc.

    The aim of this ongoing study is to identify and analyze former pupils ́ relationship to the labor market after the graduation from the Swedish upper secondary school for pupils with intellectual disabilities. The study includes 10,517 former pupils who graduated between 2001-2010 and describes the former pupils ́ relation to the labor market as it was in 2010. The study is based on the cross classification of a newly created register combined with two Swedish national registers from Statistics Sweden and the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare. One of the preliminary results from this study is that the assumption, presented in media as well as in previous research that the majority of the current pupils are going directly from school to the municipal or private organized daily activities do not seem to match reality. Our results indicate that 48% of the total population were in daily activities in 2010 and 20% of the total population were defined as “in paid work” during the same year and the actual picture of what the former pupils do after they have graduated from upper secondary school for pupils with intellectual disabilities is much more complex than the assumed. Analyses on the current data that are carried out at the moment will be presented at the NNDR-conference.

    Personal assistance (PA) has been characterized as a melting pot consisting of, on the one hand, a social rights discourse with its basis among disabled people, and, on the other hand, a consumer directed market discourse increasingly putting its stamp on welfare policy in the Western world. In the realm of welfare politics, these discourses are, in many ways, opposites, but have found common ground in the demand for a more individual and consumer friendly provision of services. Within a shared welfare state model, the application of PA has developed divergently in the Scandinavian countries and relates to the two discourses in different ways. In this article, PA in Denmark, Norway and Sweden is presented and similarities and differences are discussed and analysed. Questions raised include: How can the differences between the countries be understood? What dilemmas within welfare policy do they illustrate? How do the different discourses put their marks on the different PA-models in the Scandinavian countries? How do the PA programmes seem to develop further and what kind of PA will the Scandinavian countries end up with in the future?. © 2014 Nordic Network on Disability Research.

    The aim of this study is to investigate what kind of support unaccompanied children needs when arriving in Sweden, according to the staff that is receiving unaccompanied asylum seeking children in Sweden. The method is qualitative and is based on interviews and previous research. The result shows that the main subjects who were of interest from the interviews are elementary need, the support offered, security, “parental gestalt”, education, leisure, obstacles in the work.

    All the interviewees describe young people's needs very different when it differs from person to person. The support children receive is the most important factor that unaccompanied children need to be developed and get a better and safer life. The results show that the staff is aware of all the knowledge needed to be a good role model and a supportive adult in children's lives. It was clear how vital the relationship with the unaccompanied children is to be able to work. The staff believes that in most HVB homes they try to create and become a good family. Within each HVB home created some kind of family structure where you go into different roles such as mother's role. Some of the staff did not have a "family matter" has been a good friend relationship with these children. The group is very different and there are different personalities, among them, which is very good according to the staff. Emerged during the interviews was that the children feel at home in the school where one follows a certain pattern, one with classmates creates community that lead to these children perceiving them as family. Even the food that is assigned to the school every day gives a sense of security that someone cares about their well-being. The staff points out how important it is for these children to create a network of contacts outside the HVB home and be physical active. By organizing various activities to try to get kids to participate and socialize with other people.

    Obstacles in the work: The staff believes that they encounter conflicts of everyday life and simultaneously try to solve it smoothly. One pretty big obstacle in the work is communication due to lack of language knowledge.

    Due to on going wars and conflicts in the world, the number of people seeking asylum in other countries has increased. Including a large group of unaccompanied minors which is described as ”children who left their country without their parents or a significant other”. In 2015, nearly 35,000 unaccompanied children arrived in Sweden seeking asylum, whereupon the majority arrived in the last months of the year. The large number resulted in an extreme pressure upon the Swedish municipalities, to successfully receive all unaccompanied children. And fulfill their organizational mission according to the Swedish legislation.

    Therefore the purpose of the study is to establish a deeper understanding of how a social service, organizationally handled an increase in the number of unaccompanied children. A qualitative method was used, consisting semi-structured interviews with nine respondents from or related to the social services. The data of the study were analyzed using a thematic analysis, meaning a search for patterns to create themes and subthemes.

    The results of the study show that the increase number of unaccompanied minors were experienced and had to be handled as a crisis. The bureaucratic structure of the social service became problematic and constituted an obstacle in the efforts to receive the unaccompanied children. Including a difficulty to follow existing laws and regulations. To resolve the situation the social service had to be flexible and creative in their approach to receive the children.

    One conclusion is that a bureaucratic structure is not suitable in a dynamic environment that demands quick decisions and flexibility. Another conclusion is that the effort of the staff has been crucial, resolving the crisis.

    Abstract [en]

    The purpose of the study is to demonstrate a greater understanding of unit manager within the geriatric care' experiences of leadership based on the geographic location. We obtained this understanding mainly through interviews with nine business/unit manager within the geriatric care. Four work physically together with their employees, four work from a remote location and on mix between proximity and distance. The interviews were conducted in a medium-sized municipality in southern Sweden. This is qualitative study with a hermeneutic approach containing semi-structured interviews, which means that the respondents’ answers provide a deeper understanding of their views on the geographic location. Our results demonstrate both the pros and cons of controlling a leadership in proximity and remotely. Study results show that communication is more limited in leadership at a distance than it is in a leadership in the vicinity, but that groups led from a distance are more self-sustaining. The majority of respondents' answers suggest that leadership in proximity gives employees the ability to easily reach a manager, hence, resulting in an increased interaction between managers and employees. However, the results of the study derived from the respondents' answers, which show that the unit manager will be more disturbed by the employees in a leadership in proximity.

    The purpose of this study is to investigate, understand and reflect on the factors that may have contributed to six individuals, who upon arrival were counted as unaccompanied refugee, integration into Swedish society. In order to answer our questions, we have chosen to use a qualitative approach which permitts a deeper understanding for ourselves as well as obtaining their subjective experiences of their integration. We based our analysis on five scientific papers and theories and concepts such as; Angel & Hjern (2004) Refugee Crisis Model, Beckman (2011) Integration Theory, Kamalis (2006), "We" and "Them" theory, Goffman (2006) Stigma theory and Berger & Luckmann (2008) Socializations theory. The results showed that the respondents felt that the language was an important factor in the integration and that the host family had a great significance for them. The respondents think that all unaccompanied refugee should take part of living with a host family.

    Syftet med undersökningen var att undersöka hur de existentiella och andliga behoven uttrycks på vårdcentralen utifrån personalens perspektiv. Vi ser att vården ställer sig positiv till att det finns tydliga existentiella och andliga behov hos människor. Dessa behov är grundläggande i människors liv och när det uppstår kris uttrycks behoven på olika sätt. Om de existentiella och andliga behoven inte tillgodoses kan det ge ett förlängt lidande. Litteraturen och teorin bekräftar vad personalen på vårdcentralerna säger om att det finns existentiella och andliga behov som bör tillgodoses. Bemötande av behoven måste integreras i vården av hela människan. Däremot saknas resurser, tid och kunskap hos personalen för att fylla behoven som människor har. Vårdcentralen kan behöva hjälp från andra resurser i samhället som kan vara ett komplement för att skapa en holistisk vård. En utav de resurserna kan vara kyrkan som med sin profession kan bidra till vårdcentralens arbete med att bemöta människors existentiella och andliga behov. Studien är genomförd med en kvalitativ metod med personliga intervjuer på två vårdcentraler där vi intervjuade sex personer med olika professioner. Valet av respondenterna grundar sig på en önska att få en större kunskap om studiens ämne. Resultatet visar att det behövs mer kunskap och flera aktörer inom vården och socialt arbete.

    Aim

    Background

    In this paper the background explains elderly care and social work context, leadership in change and implementation processes. The theoretical frame illustrates Vedungs implementation theory and Webers model of bureaucracy

     

    Method

    To collect empirical data for this study, a qualitative research design was used in which eleven managers within Halmstads municipality home care management stood as respondents.

     

    Result

    The respondents highlighted a variety in the use of the systematic quality management system tool. The result describes that several obstacles were experienced in the use of the systematic quality system.

     

    Conclusion

    Based on the descriptions the respondents gives of the implementation process of the systematic quality management of Halmstad municipality home care management, the conclusion can be drawn that the implementation process has not resulted in the employees making use of systematic quality management in practice. The systematic quality management system that will ensure the quality of the care work is thus used to a limited extent.

    Strong correlations have been found between strength in the two leg squat exercise and sprint performance in various distances but not in sprint performance in agility. In studies the most common way to test squat strength is on two legs.

    The purpose in this study was to investigate the correlation between maximal strength in a bulgarian split squat in a smith machine and speed in various sprint distances and agility.

    The test group were 19 men (age 23,9 ± 2,5 ) with regular experience in intermittent team sports. Sprint tests at 5, 10 and 20 meter and the zigzag agility test were performed. The bulgarian split squat was performed in a smith machine with the barbell on the shoulders to a depth of 110 degrees between tibia and femur.

    The results show significant correlation between maximal strength in the bulgarian split squat and sprint capacity in the 5 and 10 meter sprint test as well as the agility test. Maximal strength relative to bodyweight showed significant correlation with the 5 and 20 meter sprint as well as the agility test. The zigzag agility test also showed strong correlation between all distances in the sprint tests.

    Our conclusions based on the results are that the bulgarian split squat puts big demands on balance, stability and coordination and is therefore a specific movement towards sprints that include changes of direction. The maximum strength in a split squat is a good predictor for sprint capacity in sprints. Implementing one leg exercises in the strength and conditioning routine can be good for athletes in intermittent sports to improve the sports specific sprint capacity.

    The purpose of this study is to increase an understanding of what prevents the mandatory reporting law, based on the preschool staff's approach to mandatory reporting law about child abuse and neglect to social services, and how these barriers affect their decision to report. The study will also understand what preschool staff experience facilitates the mandatory reporting process and what can be done to improve the process even more. The questions of the study were based on the purpose of the study and have been formulated in two questions:

    What prevents the mandatory reporting law requirements for preschool staff and how can these barriers be removed? What facilitates for preschool staff to be confident in the decision to report child abuse and neglect, to social services?

    The study used qualitative semi-structured interviews with five people working at the preschool, including two preschool teachers and three childcare workers. An interview guide was designed as a help to answer the questions about what the barriers are and what it is that makes it easier for the preschool staff, regarding the decision to report cases of child abuse and neglect to social services.

    The results, based on the five interviews , shows preschool staff's thoughts of the knowledge on the mandatory reporting law, the mandatory reporting process, their perspective of the mandatory reporting law and the uncertainty surrounding the mandatory reporting law.

    The study's analysis consists of the results that have been analyzed using the theory of social representations, in which the analysis shows an understanding of how the preschool staff act and think about the mandatory reporting law requirements based on their everyday knowledge. The analysis shows what prevents and facilitates the preschool staff's mandatory reporting process and the analysis shows the main parts that are based on the preschool staff's views on the mandatory reporting law. The analysis shows the preschool staff's approach to mandatory reporting requirements and how it is divided in two parts, it also describes how the concept of suspicion is perceived as a feeling that is shared within the workgroup, and the analysis shows the preschool staff's representation of the social services. The study concludes with a discussion of the study results and analysis, and the discussion also draws a link to the practice of social work. The discussion ends with a conclusion about the preschool staff’s work team and its significance for the mandatory reporting law.

    The aim of this thesis is to study how some Swedish people with immigrant backgrounds perceive their situation in the Swedish society, and to contribute new knowledge about second-generation immigrants living in Sweden. The essay will focus on identity and the problem of having different cultures to adjust to. The method we have used is qualitative interviews with a total of six persons of each six who has an immigrant background. That is to say that we have interviewed three girls and three guys to get a clearer picture of gender differences. All informants grew up in Sweden but have parents who grew up in the home country and its culture. We have used Goffman's theory of stigma and Hirdman's theory of gender. These two are central theories but we have also made use of concepts such as, internalization, externalization, ambivalence, roles, ethnicity and cultural crash. Our problem issue read as follows: In what way is the individual identity affected of being split between two different cultures? Our information parties stories about their situation, gave us a deeper understanding of how it is to belong to two different cultures to adapt to at the same time.

    Syftet för föreliggande uppsats är att utifrån individens perspektiv erhålla djupare förståelse och insikt i vilka faktorer som bidrar till konflikter, och hur problemlösning uppstår och utvecklas i relationen mellan anhörig och chef inom äldreomsorgen. Studien är gjord med kvalitativ metod och fokuserad intervjuguide. Urvalet består av fem enhetschefer verksamma i äldreomsorgen i Halmstad kommun. Resultatet visar på att en fruktsam problemlösning startar med en sund relation till anhöriga baserat på tillit, kunskaper om yrket samt en förståelse av vad människor behöver och hur de tänker. Chefens egen erfarenhet och bakgrund i kombination med utbildning och engagemang påverkar problemlösningens natur. För stöd i relationen nämns i första hand den egna chefen och andra kollegor. Resultatet är analyserat med utgångspunkter i Goffman, Foucault och Asplund. Analysen går genom problemlösningens socialpsykologi, social responsivitet, makt och institution.

This is a qualitative study of children andadolescents user participation and influence in support groups. The aim of thestudy is to examine the professional approach to children and adolescents userparticipation and user involvement in support groups for young people who have witnessedviolence, abuse and/or mental illness. The study is commissioned by RegionHalland. The method used is qualitative method, which means that you havestudied different individuals experiences of the phenomenon studied, and theresearchers made ​​use of semi-structured interviews. The empirical data hasbeen collected from six counties of Halland, Sweden. A total of sevenprofessionals were interviewed who work with support groups. After theinterviews they were transcribed all to facilitate the compilation andanalysis. The collected empirical data were analyzed along the theories ofempowerment and deliberative democracy. The main result is that the concepts ofuser participation and influence are relatively new concepts in support groupactivities. Children and young people have no solid impact in support groupsbecause the professional word is predominant. It also appears that there is asham democracy in the activities, the children have a right to be heard but theprofessionals seem to always have the last word.

    Vår frågeställning ska ge svar på vilka hinder och möjligheter möter de före detta kriminella när de ska återintegreras i ett konsumtionssamhälle? Vi har intervjuat före detta kriminella som är medlemmar i organisationen KRIS och Unga KRIS utifrån syftet, att skapa kunskap och förståelse kring vad som krävs av före detta kriminella att skapa sig en livsstil som accepteras av samhället. Vi har även intervjuat Frivården som går ut på att fånga personalens syn på arbetet, hur dem arbetar för att underlätta frigivningen för de intagna samt skapa en förståelse kring deras tankar angående huruvida det faktiskt går att skapa en ny identitet. Studiens resultat presenteras i fyra teman som myndigheter, sociala relationer, identitet och livsstil samt respekt. Det gav bland annat följande resultat: respondenterna måste genomgå en förändring, ifrån en kriminell livsstil, till en livsstil som anses accepterad av samhället. Först ska myndigheterna ge den rätta hjälpen och skapa en bra relation med den före detta kriminella, den före detta kriminella ska bryta med sina gamla kompisar och skapa sig nya sociala relationer, det vill säga umgås med rätt personer. Att skapa en livsstil som inte innehåller någon kriminalitet utan skaffa struktur i form av bostad, jobb, körkort och även respekt genom att göra gott tillbaka till samhället. Då kommer den före detta kriminella få känslan av att räknas igen och bli accepterad. Analysen av materialet gjordes utifrån hinder och möjligheter med hjälp av tankar ifrån teoretikerna Zygmunt Bauman, Norbert Elias samt Ervin Goffman. Bauman talar om de konsumtionskrav som finns i samhället, följs inte dessa krav blir man som Goffman beskriver stigmatiserad till en viss status. Denna status presenteras som Elias talar om Etablerade och Outsiders. Att inte känna en tillhörighet till samhället i helhet, utan vara medlem i en viss grupp. Som före detta kriminell blir då det en svårighet att bryta sig ur och förändra denna stigmatisering.

    Abstract [en]

    Organizational climate and related factors are associated with outcome and are as such of vital interest for healthcare organizations. Organizational Readiness for Change (ORC) is the questionnaire used in the present study to assess the influence of organizational factors on implementation success. The respondents were employed in one of 203 Swedish municipalities within social work and psychiatric substance/abuse treatment services. They took part in a nationwide implementation project organized by the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions (SALAR), commissioned by the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare. Aim The aims were: (a) to identify classes (clusters) of employees with different ORC profiles on the basis of data collected in 2011 and (b) to investigate ORC profiles which predicted the use of assessment instruments, therapy methods and collaborative activities in 2011 and 2013. Design and recruitment The evaluation study applied a naturalistic design with registration of outcome at consecutive assessments. The participants were contacted via official e-mail addresses in their respective healthcare units and were encouraged by their officials to participate on a voluntary basis. Statistics Descriptive statistics were obtained using SPSS version 23. A latent profile analysis (LPA) using Mplus 7.3 was performed with a robust maximum likelihood estimator (MLR) to identify subgroups (clusters) based on the 18 ORC indexes. Results A total of 2402 employees responded to the survey, of whom 1794 (74.7%) completed the ORC scores. Descriptive analysis indicated that the respondents were a homogenous group of employees, where women (72.0%) formed the majority. Cronbach's alpha for the 18 ORC indexes ranged from α = 0.67 to α = 0.78. A principal component analysis yielded a four-factor solution explaining 62% of the variance in total ORC scores. The factors were: motivational readiness (α = 0.64), institutional resources (α = 0.52), staff attributes (α = 0.76), and organizational climate (α = 0.74). An LPA analysis of the four factors with their three distinct profiles provided the best data fit: Profile 3 (n = 614), Profile 2 (n = 934), and Profile 1 (n = 246). Respondents with the most favorable ORC scores (Profile 3) used significantly more instruments and more treatment methods and had a better collaborating network in 2011 as well as in 2013 compared to members in Profile 1, the least successful profile. Conclusion In a large sample of social work and healthcare professionals, ORC scores reflecting higher institutional resources, staff attributes and organizational climate and lower motivational readiness for change were associated with a successful implementation of good practice guidelines for the care and treatment of substance users in Sweden. Low motivational readiness as a construct may indicate satisfaction with the present situation. As ORC proved to be an indicator of successful dissemination of evidence-based guidelines into routine and specialist healthcare, it can be used to tailor interventions to individual employees or services and to improve the dissemination of and compliance with guidelines for the treatment of substance users. © 2017

    Abstract [en]

    The study was performed based on a qualitative method using a hermeneutical approach used to interpret the semi-structured interviews. The study aimed to investigate the Multisystemic therapy (MST) team in Halmstad municipality perceptions on the treatment method multisystemic therapy for youths from the ages of 12-18 years old.The questions were: Does the MST therapists experience that the MST is a method that leads to an improved situation for young people who receive the method? What do the MST therapists describe as opportunities and obstacles in the work with the method?

    The study builds on previous research on MST and empowerment based on MST. The study shows three therapists and an MST leader's experiences of the treatment and how it is aimed at influencing the parents and the youth for a change. From therapists statements it highlights how the MST method is designed for the young people’s motivation to change by means of the internal and external networks. The result shows that previous research shows a lot of criticism on the treatment in Sweden. It turns out that other interventions from the social services give the same results or even better. All therapists reported that they have seen changes in the families and that most families have been guided to a new way of thinking but that collaboration with other parties concerned should be better. It has been positive and negative sides to treatment from psychiatrist’s perspective and that it constantly going research on the method for behavior problems will be prevented effectively. When the youth was involved the treatment was more effective.

    The benefit of MST is that the treatment occurs multi systemically with the whole youths network but the risk of the treatment is that the youths network could disappear and that would lead to discontinuing treatment that may not help it to achieve empowerment. There are advantages and disadvantages to treatment, and it comes to that MST therapist to interpret the MST's principles as well as possible for parents and youth to strengthen and not being dependent on other treatment interventions. There has been an improvement on the MST treatment when MST Sweden was formed and got swedish consultants. The study's conclusions is that it is important to create opportunities for youth to participate in the treatment and obtain the youths opinions on why it does not work and how the networks will work with the youth to get it to evolve. To gain achievement, the MST team has to ignore the youths, age treat individuals according to their maturity, integrating family members as much as possible and get a good interaction between the therapists and families.

    Resultaten visar att den egna kompetensen brister när pedagogerna möter dessa föräldrar och flertalet pedagoger saknar detta i sin utbildning. Empirin är baserat på semi-strukturerade intervjuer med sex förskolepedagoger på kommunala förskolor i Storstockholm. Materialet är analyserat genom en kvalitativ tematisk analys där olika teman togs fram och som presenteras i resultatkapitlet. Arbetets teoretiska utgångspunkter som resultatet analyseras utifrån är det sociokulturella perspektivet och symbolisk interaktionism. Den vetenskapsteoretiska utgångspunkten är ett socialkonstruktivistiskt perspektiv.

    Eftersom resultaten visar att förskolepedagogerna anser att deras egen kompetens inte är tillräcklig och skulle önska mer fokus på kommunikation med föräldrar under utbildningen, är ett förslag till praktiska insatser att utveckla utbildningen till att möta detta.

    Family plays an important role in the care provided for patients in all areas of nursing. However, relatively few studies deal with the focus of the present study: the ways that nurses experience family participation in acute psychiatric inpatient settings. Data were collected by interviewing 18 nurses who had experience working in such settings. A phenomenographical approach was used to analyse the interviews. Three descriptive categories were found: family participation as a part of the caring process, barriers to family participation, and nurses' resources in family participation. The findings show that the nurses' conceptions of family participation varied, and that the family was not always a priority in this caring context. The implementation of family participation was often only based on the nurses' own interests and insights. This could mean that family participation differed substantially, depending on which nurse a family encountered, and which unit the patient was admitted at. Finally, nurses had little professional autonomy, and organizational support and education were also lacking.

    The social work taking place in child protection is quite complex. The research that exists in today's scholarly literature mainly describes the most comprehensive efforts; taking children into custody and child placement. We have discovered a lack of research about the factors that have an affect on assessments and decision-making. The purpose of this study is therefore to study the meaning of use of self in social work, also to increase the understanding about how subjective knowledge acts in the assessment and decision-making processes. With that information place the subjective knowledge within a professional setting. To fulfill this purpose the authors used a qualitative vignette complemented with semi- structured interviews, and from those findings analysed the stories of the seven interviewees whilst relating them to Weber´s theory about ideal bureaucracy, Hasenfeld´s human service organizational theory, Lipsky´s theory on street-level bureaucracy and Lundquist´s theory about autonomy. The result show that social workers have great room for discretion in their work with child protection, also that they to a large extent utilise their intuition and past experiences. How a social worker is as a person has a big impact on how they choose to use their room for discretion. The result also show that social workers with more experience are more likely to lean on their subjective knowledge at work than a social worker with less experience. Our comprehension is that the self is an important tool when working with child protection, and that it corresponds to the built-in complexity present in the work. However, the importance of reflecting this knowledge should be emphasized.

    Personal assistance is a unique profession to the extent that the assistant comes the client close to life through participation in order to improve the individual's life and living conditions. The work is also unique as it uses the client’s home environment. The purpose of the following essay is to explore personal assistants’ experiences of a psychosocial work environment in order to increase knowledge about risk and health factors in work with people with disabilities. The collection of the empirical material has been done through a qualitative design to capture the respondents' experiences about the psychosocial work environment. The qualitative method which has been used is semi structured interviews with the aim of giving respondents a possibility to express themselves freely about their psychosocial work environment. In total seven interviews have been conducted through a selection from four respondents as in turn entered new people. The interviews have been transcribed to enable an analysis of the collected empiricism. The empiricism shows that personal assistants feel motivation in work when they witness the clients’ development. The empiricism also shows that demands and control especially come from the client’s family and affect the psychosocial work environment a lot. The empiricism at last shows that social support from both colleagues and managers represent a great value for the psychosocial work environment for personal assistants.

    The conclusion of the psychosocial work environment based on the results is a work situation based on high demands, low control and low social support. Although the psychosocial work environment is perceived to be difficult by the assistants they appreciate the possibility to enable a more worthwhile life for the clients. The conclusion is as well that each employer has an important work to do with the psychosocial work environment in order to make the personal assistants work environment better in the future.

    Researchers from different disciplines have debated the idea of inclusion in relation to the educational system for quite a while and the debate is still ongoing. The debate has mainly focused on why and whether all children should be educated together. Interestingly, the question of how inclusion could be achieved has not received the same attention. The purpose of this study is to increase the knowledge and understanding of how “the inclusive school” can be created and how a school that attempts to reach full inclusion is experiences by staff, pupils and parents. Qualitative, semi-structured interviews were conducted in a school that has the explicit aim of becoming a school that includes all children. Thirteen people were interviewed: five of the staff, four children and four parents. The results indicate that there are different views among the participants about “the inclusive school”. While the children appear to associate an inclusive school with a feeling of well being and mention words like happiness and friendship the staff mention more knowledge related concepts, such as learning, flexibility in teaching methods, support forms, class size, number of teachers in the classrooms and technical facilities.

    Den som har ett funktionshinder och blir beviljad personlig assistans via LSS, Lag (1993:38) om stöd och service till vissa funktionshindrade och LASS, Lag (1993:389) om assistansersättning kan välja mellan att anlita personliga assistenter via kommunen, något privat assistansbolag eller själv anställa sina personliga assistenter.

    Studiens syfte är att öka förståelsen av unga vuxnas upplevelse av att ha personlig assistans. För att tydliggöra syftet kommer jag belysa ämnet utifrån 4 olika frågeställningar:·         Vilken möjlighet till självbestämmande i vardagen upplevs av brukarna?·         Hur upplevs relationen till assistenterna, arbetsrelationer kontra vänskapsrelationer?·         Hur upplevs det är att ha andra relationer med assistent närvarande?·         Vilka strategier används för att den personliga assistansen ska fungera så bra som möjligt i vardagen? 

    I studien används halvstrukturerade intervjuer med fenomenologisk inriktning för att fånga intervjupersonernas upplevelse av att ha personlig assistans. Fem personer har intervjuats, tre tjejer och två killar i åldern 18-26 år som alla har personlig assistans.  

    Utifrån tidigare forskning fokuserar studien på självbestämmande, självbestämmande när man har personlig assistans och på funktionshindrades strategier i vardagen. Tre olika teoretiska perspektiv; samverkansperspektiv, interaktionism och rummets betydelse används för att förstå empirin. 

    Alla intervjupersoner uttrycker att de har självbestämmande i sitt liv i så stor utsträckning att de själva är nöjda med det. Men alla hade också haft erfarenheter där det inte fungerade med de personliga assistenterna och alla uttryckte att det är svårt att hantera konflikter som uppstår med de personliga assistenterna. I studien framkom det att det viktigaste är relationen med assistenten, alla intervjupersonerna hade både en arbetsrelation och en vänskapsrelation med sina assistenter även om de har olika åsikter om vilken av relationerna som är viktigast. Men gemensamt var att desto bättre arbetsrelation de har till assistenten, desto bättre var också vänskapsrelationen. Två av intervjupersonerna har personlig assistans hela dygnet medan de andra har 20-30 h/v och det är en tydlig skillnad i hur de upplever sitt hem som en fristad. Personerna med assistans dygnet runt upplever en större begränsning i sitt privatliv och att deras hem inte är en fristad så som de önskar. Några av de strategier som intervjupersonerna använder sig av för att öka sitt självbestämmande i vardagen är att; stå på sig, bestämma även över småsaker i sitt egna hem, att själv bestämma vilka assistenter som ska arbeta hos dem samt välja assistansbolag.

    Inom sociala verksamheter som äldreomsorg och handikappomsorg lägger enhetscheferna mycket tid på konflikthantering i sina arbetsgrupper. En konflikt i en arbetsgrupp är viktig att lösa direkt annars är risken stor att konflikten blir svår att lösa. En konflikt som inte blir löst leder till att personalen tappar arbetsglädje och energi i sitt arbete och brukarna/kunderna kan bli lidande i förlängningen. Syftet med denna studie var därför att öka kunskapen och erfarenheten om konflikthantering ur enhetschefers perspektiv inom äldreomsorgen och handikappomsorgen. I uppsatsen har följande frågor hanterats:

    Vilka typer av konflikter uppstår vanligen i en arbetsgrupp?

    Hur reflekterar enhetscheferna över hur konflikter uppstår?

    Hur beskriver enhetscheferna att de hanterar konflikter?

    För att besvara frågeställningarna har en kvalitativ metod använts. Jag sökte efter informanternas egna upplevelser och känslor angående konflikter och konflikthantering. Uppsatsen bygger på fem intervjuer med enhetschefer inom äldreomsorgen, handikappomsorgen och hemtjänst. Uppsatsen utgår från semistrukturerade intervjuer för att samla in empiri. I min studie har jag rört mig mellan teori och empiri, arbetat abduktivt. För att tolka och analysera materialet har jag utgått från situationsanpassat ledarskap, personlighets teori och roll teorin. Resultatet visade att enhetscheferna hanterade konflikter på liknande vis även om ingen handlingsplan i konflikthantering fanns. De vanligaste konflikterna i arbetsgrupperna handlade om personligheter, att personalen inte tycker om varandra, olikheter eller feltolkningar både inom tal och skrift. Personalen hanterade en konflikt på ett liknande vis och all enhetscheferna var noga med medarbetarna själva först och främst fick lösa konflikten. Skulle det inte fungera gick cheferna in och stöttade.

    The aim of the study was to explore the cognitive availability of the public space for young adults living in a group residence. The public space in this study has been narrowed down to playgrounds and bath places in a municipality in southern Sweden. The study is of a qualitative nature and the method we have used for the study is semistructured interviews. Through a qualitative continent has the result been coded. The results were analyzed based on Goffman's theory of stigma and Bourdieu's theory of habitus, fields and capital. The result indicates that playgrounds that lays in a more separated environment is considered as an opportunity for people with intellectual disabilities to access the public space. The results also indicates that the main factors that limits persons with intellectual disabilities to have access to playgrounds is that they are designed for children and that there is a lack of clarity when it comes to the different play tools on the playground. The opportunities that increases the accessibility at bathing places is the bathing places that is adapted for people with disabilities because the target group of the study felt safe there. The factor that limits the availability is primarily when it is very crowded. It is also shown that the physical environment can be better adapted through clearer contrasts and markings. The common denominator for both places is that the environment had a big impact and that secluded places to decrease impressions can be a good support for increasing accessibility to the public space for young adults in group residence.

    Earlier studies refer to the fact that scientific research is lacking when it comes to functional training such as core strengthening and trunk stability in relation to athletic performance like throwing velocity. It is widely debated if instability when performed training exercises improves stability which in turn would improve athletic performance. The most equivalent study that has been made concerning training program with slings to improve trunk stability with the purpose to improve throwing velocity has shown significant results.

     The purpose of this study was to investigate if six weeks core stability training program with the functional training equipment Func.Gym training bands improved the throwing velocity in male elite handball players. 

    Two groups were used in this study, one test group consisting of six subjects (n=6) with an average age of 22,3 years, and one control group consisting of three subjects (n=3), with an average age 21 years. All the subjects were team players from HK Drott.

    The training program consisted of six exercises and was accomplished by the functional training equipment Func.Gym training bands.     

    To measure throwing velocity a Casio EX-F1 EXILIM was used, adjusted to high speed (hs) with 300 frames per second (fps). The clip from the high speed camera was analyzed in the Dartfish classroom edition program.

    One of the test persons in the test group showed improved result in throwing velocity. The remaining, both test group and control group, showed decreased measures in velocity after six week training. Measures of exercise repetitions and questionnaire showed improved strength in trunk stability. 

    Conclusion: Func.Gym Training bands improved trunk stability but did not in this study show any positive effect on throwing velocity.

    Syftet  med  studien  har  varit  att  explorativt  undersöka  skolpersonals –specialpe-dagoger och en psykolog –erfarenheter av att upptäcka och arbeta med grundsko-lebarn som har diagnosen adhd. Vidare har syftet varit att studera denna skolperso-nals  uppfattningar  om  skolans  sätt  att  anpassa  undervisningen  till  dessa  elevers behov samt eventuella konsekvenser av en eventuell adhd-diagnos.Studien  baserades  på  kvalitativa  intervjuer  med sjuspecialpedagoger en  skol-psykolog vid fem olika grundskolor inom samma kommun samt en skolpsykolog som  arbetar  med  grundskolor  inom  hela  kommunen.Intervjupersonerna arbetadevid såväl låg-, mellan som högstadiet. Analysen baserades på olika aspekter av Goffmans begreppsapparat, dessutom använder  jag  mig  av  en  feministisk  teoribildning  om  hur  flickor  och  kvinnor förväntas bete sig inom ramen för den normativa femininiteten. Samtliga intervju-personer ansågatt det fanns en klar risk för att flickor i högre grad än pojkar förblir oupptäckta eller åtminstone upptäckta senare under sin skolgång.Eftersom flickor tycks löpa en högre riskatt bli upptäckta senare än pojkar innebär detta att de även får den hjälp de behöver senare under sin skolgång. Att få hjälp senare kan innebära en nackdel med avseende på studiegång och arbete. Min slutsats äratt flickor med adhdär svårare att upptäcka än pojkar med samma diagnos, eftersom pojkar och flickors symtom är så olika. Dessutom är pojkars sätt att uttrycka sina svårigheter av en sådan art att det skapar en känsla av ”akut” medan flickors uttryckssätt inte stör omgivningen på samma sätt vilket innebär att de inte prioriteras på samma sätt som pojkar med adhd.Ytterligare en slutsats är att det förmodligen skulle vara lönsamt för samhället, åtminstone i ett längre perspektiv, att tidigt satsa på de barn som är i behov avsär-skilt stöd. Att hjälpa någon med adhd i tonåren eller i ung vuxenålder kostar för-modligen betydligt mer än om insatserna gjorts tidigt i skolan.

    This work aims to show how unitmanagers , within personal assistance , experience leadership at a distance. We found this interesting as leaders in personal assistance do not have a natural and close collaboration with their staff in place.

    This study is based on theories of empowerment, motivation and communication, together with our empirical material that we have gathered through interviews with the head of units of personal assistance.

    The work we have done shows that leaders remotely put a lot of emphasis on being able to communicate effectively with their employees. By effectively communicate with employees managers can delegate responsibility and get quick feedback from their staff.

    Our studies have shown that managers think it is important that employees are aware of how the business works and how to give employees the tools to develop themselves and the business.

    Due to lack of meetings between leaders and staff our conclusion is that managers are working to motivate their staff, in order to make them feel seen. That leads to reducing the stress out of staff.

    När ungdomar inom idrotten blir 13 år kliver de in i vad Riksidrottsförbundets styrdokument Idrotten vill (2009) kallar ungdomsidrotten, vilket betyder att det är legitimt att toppa ett lag och tävling och resultat kan nu ta större plats än tidigare. Det kan därmed uppstå ett pedagogiskt dilemma för ungdomsledare då de behöver ta ställning till hur laget och verksamheten ska bedrivas. Ska lagets resultat och prestation vara i fokus eller är gemenskapen inom laget och att alla ska ha kul det viktigaste med verksamheten? Syftet med den här studien var att belysa vilka pedagogiska handlingsstrategier som uttrycks av ungdomsledare och hur detta relaterar till teorier om ledarskapsideologier inom ungdomslag i fotboll. Det var också att belysa hur dessa pedagogiska handlingsstrategier skiljer sig ur ett genusperspektiv. För att kunna besvara syfte och frågeställningar har vi samlat in data genom en kvalitativ insamlingsmetod i form av intervjuer.Studien genomfördes genom djupgående intervjuer med fyra fotbollsledare för ungdomar i åldern 14 år, som var aktiva i Västra Sverige. Två av dessa var ungdomsledare för lag som bestod av killar och två för lag som bestod av tjejer.Studiens resultat visade att ledarideologi och pedagogiska handlingsstrategier var sammankopplade, men att det fanns en skillnad ungdomsledarna emellan i hur de uttryckte att de använde sig av dessa pedagogiska handlingsstrategier för att bedriva verksamheten. Resultatet visade också att ungdomsledarnas uttryck tenderade att skilja sig åt för kill- respektive tjejlagen, då ungdomsledarna för killagen var mer fokuserade på prestation och resultat medan ungdomsledarna för tjejlagen fokuserade mer på att gruppen skulle trivas.

    Abstract [en]

    Working with vulnerable people in a government controlled authority may for most people seem harmless - but is it really? Previous research has shown that there is large hidden statistics when it comes to client-related threats and violence and that the incidents are not taken seriously enough. The purpose of this paper is to gain a greater understanding of what the increased threats and violence towards officials in a government controlled authority can lead to. We want to shed visibility over the attributes in the client relationship that leads to threats and violence against the government officials. The theoretical framework used in the paper is street-level bureaucracy, power, and client relationships. We have performed six semi-structured interviews with officials from the Swedish Migration board, which have shown that threats and violence towards government officials occur to a greater extent than it is shown and reported on. The results showed that the hidden statistics is large in incident reporting and that there is a "it comes with the territory" mentality among officials. The distribution of power has a major role in client relationships and is a contributing factor to incidents occurring. Furthermore, it turns out that negative decisions are the ones that tend to trigger threats or violence from the client and that it is rarely reported unless the client resorts to physical violence. Finally, the paper shows that prevention work must be done on a larger scale.

    Syfte: Huvudsyftet med denna undersökning var att kartlägga den psykosociala arbetsmiljön samt identifiera stressfaktorer bland undersköteskor och vårdbiträden i olika kommunala hemtjänstverksamheter.

    Metoder: Till denna undersökning användes en metodkombination utav kvantitativa samt kvalitativa undersökningar. En enkätsundersökning skickades till 149 medarbetare i berörd kommun och 91 medarbetare besvarade frågorna. Därefter analyserades svaren med hjälp av programmet SPSS. Slutligen genomfördes nio intervjuer med ändamålet att förstå samt försöka identifiera orsaken till stressfaktorer som visade sig i enkätsundersökningen.

    Resultat: En hög svarsfrekvens av stressrelaterad ohälsa bland hemtjänstpersonal påvisas utifrån mina undersökningar. Analysen har visat att den psykosociala arbetsmiljön på de olika hemtjänstverksamheterna består av höga krav och låga kontrollmöjligheter. Dock var det sociala stödet högt eftersom flertalet upplevde en god sammanhållning inom arbetsgrupperna.

    Resultatet i den kvantitativa undersökningen visade att det fanns stressfaktorer i dessa verksamheter. Det som var intressant och stack ut var att det allmänna hälsotillståndet upplevdes som mycket bra/ ganska bra av 70.8% av deltagarna, dessutom bedömde 80.3% arbetsförmågan kring psykiska krav som mycket god/ ganska god. 82.4% bedömde arbetsförmågan när det gäller fysiska krav som mycket god/ ganska god. Trots dessa positiva procentenheter svarade flertalet att arbetet krävde att man arbetar fort samt hårt. Dessutom svarade 83.5% att man ibland, ganska ofta, nästan jämt kände sig uppvarvad, 67,1% svarade att man ibland, ganska ofta, nästan jämnt känner sig pressade på gränsen av vad man klarar av. Ytterligare var det 71.8% som upplevde stress ibland, ganska ofta, nästan jämnt. Det vill säga att resultatet påvisade stressfaktorer dock inga bakomliggande orsaker. För att definiera bakomliggande orsaker genomfördes nio intervjuer i studie 2 med ändamålet att förstå medarbetarnas arbetssituation.

    Resultatet av studie 2 påvisade att orsakerna till att stress uppstod var förändrade arbetsuppgifter där administrativa uppgifter hade ökat radikalt, därtill poängterades det av alla intervjupersoner att man fått flera kundbesök med kort restid emellan vilket ledde till frustration, oro, stress samt dåligt samvete. På så sätt påverkades medarbetarnas meningsfullhet med arbetet. Därtill påvisade undersökningen att medarbetarnas arbetsplatser var så kallade ”spända arbeten” eftersom kraven var höga och beslutsutrymmen väldigt små.

    Snowboarding is a relatively young sport and has grown since the birth in the 1960-70.

    Today, snowboarding still is a lifestyle to many, but also an accepted mainstream sport and has been an Olympic sport since the Olympic Winter Games in Nagano, Japan 1998 (18,35,36). The movement pattern and body position is asymmetric, since you stand sideways with the front foot ahead of the rear foot in the line of direction (14,18,28). Several studies that have investigated the biomechanics of snowboarding have showed that the loading of the lower extremities are different in the front leg compared to the rear leg during riding (14,18, 22,23,28).

    The purpose of this study was to investigate if the asymmetric body position in snowboarding causes differences between front and rear leg considering; circumference of thigh, range of motion (ROM) in the hip joints, power in lower extremities, or causes asymmetrical ROM in the spine in the test group compared to the control group.

    Two groups were used, one test group consisting of ten elite snowboarders (n=10) with an average age of 18 years, and one control group consisting of eight high level skiers (n=8), average age 17,25 years. All subjects were students at Malung/Sälen Alpine Elite Gymnasium. Measurements of ROM in hip and spine were made with a myrin incline goniometer and universal plastic goniometer. A one leg countermovement jump (CMJ) was made as a test of power in the lower extremities using Ivar ump & speed analyzer. Measurements of circumference of thighs were made using a soft tape measure.

    The results show significant differences in four of the ten measurements in test group and in two of the ten measurements in the control group. There are significant differences in hip passive flexion (P<0,05) and adduction(P<0,05) in both groups (Tables 2,3) suggesting that in these movements there are individual differences. The one leg CMJ and circumference of thigh shows significant differences, (P>0,05) and (P<0,001), between front and rear leg in the test group (Table 2), but no such differences can be seen in the control group (Table 3) suggesting that these differences may be caused by the asymmetrical body position during snowboarding.

    Undersökningen bygger på en öppen kvalitativ undersökning som fokuserar på hur fem pappor ser på att vara en engagerad och delaktig pappa i dag. Då papporna är engagerade i en förskola som är ett familjekooperativ där deras barn går betyder det att deras intresse för tid och engagemang inte ligger i underkant. Men hur ser papporna på hur det är att vara en delaktig pappa? Och vad anser papporna vad som ingår i konceptet delaktighet? Undersökningen visar på en stor vilja och medvetenhet att inte trampa i sina fäders fotspår även om de har varit av positiv art. Vilket kan benämnas som en varierad eller flexibel maskulinitet/manlighet baserat utifrån att plocka delar av det goda och dåliga som papporna har genom sin livserfarenhet. Men också att arbeta med en jämställdhet tillsammans med sin partner i vardagen som är lättare i teorin än i praktiken. Framförallt genomsyras undersökningen av en uttrycksfull glädje, kärlek, empati och inspiratör som både avdramatiserar och glorifierar rollen att vara pappa.

    To take the role of another is an important and a central part of human interaction. When we take the role of another we not only learn about them but also we learn about ourselves and how we interact with other people.  Social work in this form, working with directly with families in crises, is much about understanding other people’s perspective and feelings. It is important to know the strategy of one’s work and which perspective to work from. Every child in the world should have the right to grow up in a healthy environment. According to Harriet Ward there are seven basic needs that are considered universal for all children. These basic needs are health, education, identity, social presentation, emotional- and behavioral development, family and social relations and self care skills. The staff that I interviewed takes on child perspective and uses BBIC (Barns Behov I Centrum) as a guideline in their work. All children in Sweden are protected by the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and thereby have legal rights to claim. If a child’s mother or father or any other near relative can take care of them or need help to straight out their family situation, society needs to step in and take the child under protection. To work so that children who lives in a unhealthy and exposed world can get a better life, is a challenge and requires help from the children’s family, relatives, friends, school, neighbors, social services and so on. Our society has a responsibility towards these children.
