This paper reveals the background and the basics of the knowledge clusters formation and its benefits. It also highlights the role of the universities as an essential part of knowledge clusters, playing a significant, unifying role in knowledge exchange, generation and transfer. As a part of this paper, the research team has conducted a survey in order to determine the level of successful professional realization of the graduated students from the University of Rousse.
