The purpose of the essay is to compare the housing policies of the political parties represented in Haninge and Tyresö kommun. The purpose is furthermore to determine wether or not the housing policy can be labeled as a depoliticized political area and if ideologically strongly determined parties like Rättvisepartiet Socialisterna can affect the extent of the (de)politicization. Three indicators for the study is used, the view on: tenures, public housing and rents. Interviews are used as the studied material and the responds are categorised onto a scale between advocating a free market and fully government controlled housing. The results of the essay show that there’s little of a conflict level between the parties and that the presence of Rättvisepartiet has not had an effect on the extent of the (de)politicization.
