Halmstad University, School of Business and Engineering (SET).
2006 (English)Independent thesis Advanced level (degree of Master (One Year))Student thesis
Abstract [en]
Environmental influences on international marketing are very important when thinking about going international is in focus. Different countries, even different regions within the same country, have their own social values or political and legal systems. Economically and technologically they can be developed differently. Using the popular SLEPT model (social, legal, economic, political and technological environment) and applying it on the market of the small country in southern Europe, the state of Serbia, the author would like to present chances and opportunities, as well as threats for international investors they can face. The main question that the author wants to answer is what to expect when starting a business in Serbia and how different parts of the SLEPT model influence international investors.
