Abstract [sv]
To join nuts on a metal sheet with resistance welding is a method that is used in a growing scale all over the world. This project has with minimal reconstructions on the machinery as a whole succeeded to reduce the cycle time appreciable, this thanks to a new feeding system of nuts. The newly designed welding process means besides increased productivity, qualitative values such as rotation reliability and increased placing flexibility of the nut. The tool system that has been developed is compatible with all standard systems on the machines, such as nut feeders, cooling devise, attachments and electrodes. This and the production price which is far below the price for the system used today, make the tool system not only an option when purchases of new work cells but also a profitable upgrade of the cells used today.
