Akustisk sensor för detektion, klassificering och riktningsbestämning av helikoptrar

Abstract [sv]
Helicopter detection is a problem yet to receive a satisfactory solution. This is something that leads to problems for both ground troops as well as vehicles operating in hostile territories. This report describes the implementation of theories concerning acoustic classification and direction finding of helicopters. For classification the ratio between the main and tail rotor frequencies is exploited. The developed method solves the problem of identifying several helicopters simultaneously, as long as none of them are of the same type. Direction finding is done by measuring the phase difference between points in space, and translating these in to a difference in distance to the target. Form this difference in distance an angel can be calculated. The project also spans over the surrounding components like hardware, communication with hardware and communication with the information system used by the anti-aircraft regiment, LvPlus.
