Abstract [en]
Today the flaps on Tetra Recart packages are sealed with hot air. It is desirable to replace this solution with a laser application.In this thesis an investigation is made to find out if it is possible to seal their packages, while in motion, with a laser. Two tests have been made on the flaps on Tetra Recart packages regarding existing forces. Afterwards a laser test was performed to determine if the solution with laser is possible. The result from the laser investigation proves that it is possible to seal the flaps with the light from a laser. The two tested wavelengths are practicable to use, but act in different ways on the package.
