Abstract [sv]

Available TPM literature mainly focuses on 5S, improvement groups and autonomous maintenance but the connection between TPM and internal communication is rarely discussed. The aim of this study is hence to investigate the connection between internal communication and the implementation of TPM by exploring how changes of the internal communication have occurred. The study has been accomplished by literature reviewing and through interviews with three different companies in southern Sweden. The result of this study is finally presented in a model which visually shows how TPM, through cooperation, changes the internal communication. The TPM activities; autonomous maintenance, improvement groups and 5S are all based upon cooperation which there by constitutes the center in TPM when looked at from an internal communication perspective.
