Abstract [en]
The present essay offers an insight into Swedish upper secondary school students’ oral proficiency of English. Previous research in this area is examined and accounted for, as well as, individual learner differences important to this field. This essay discusses what level of oral proficiency the students’ overall manner of speaking English are brought up and explained. Additionally, it gives native speakers’ views of the students’ oral proficiency. Finally, individual learner differences are examined too see if they have any impact on the students’ capability of English.
