in order to get a black surface on concrete constructions, it is possible to dye the fresh concrete before casting. This investigation shows that, in practice, the only possible pigmens available are back iron oxide (Fe3O4) and carbon black. Carbon black has a bad reputation of poor durability, but nowadays some manufacturers claim that they have solved that problem, Iron oxide has good durability. It is also possible to work the fresch or hardened surface in different ways to obtain an everlastin colour
