Abstract [sv]
As a final exam for the programme Information- and Communication Technology, a project of 10 credits was to be performed at Halmstad University. This application improves the lives of students who study at a distance. According to our research, there was no appropriate solution to how distance students could be examined and be given a fair grade. With our system, the student wouldn’t have to go all the way to the studying location to take an exam. Based on society’s huge increase of broadband usage and all its benefits, we created an exam that could be done from a computer in the distance student’s own locality, with a digital signature as inherent security. Exsec could be used already today to facilitate the education of distance students, but it can also be used as a system to perform easy, small tests, course evaluations or market researches.
