Abstract [sv]
Electromagnetic fields are generated around all electrical equipment and are the source of the problems with electromagnetic interference, EMI. In power plants, this is serious problems which can be caused e.g. by circuit breakers, disconnectors and relays. The interference spreads either through radiated or conducted coupling mechanisms such as capacitive and inductive coupling. Avoiding interferences is a complex matter and the choice of measure depends on several factors. A simple method is shielding of cables. Interviews have been carried out with representatives from some companies including users, manufacturers and installation companies. This led to an understanding of how common it is with EMI, how it shows and being measured. This thesis project has been carried out to increase the knowledge about EMI for those affected, for instance installation personnel. The report contains summaries of interference problems and standards regarding EMC.
