Abstract [sv]

This report describes an examination project for the Bachelor Degree in computer science program in University of Halmstad, Sweden. An idea for a product that protects small personal properties was born. These properties are things that you wear with you. The things are keys, wallet, mobile phones and so on. The product gives a warning when a person is about to lose his or hers property. The name of the product is RF Keeper where RF stands for Radio Frequency. The prototype uses active RFID technology at the frequency 125 kHz and consists of two parts: a reader and a transponder. The reader is sending correct data to the transponder that is on the object and when it no longer can do that the transponder activates an alarm.
