Abstract [sv]
This report aims to investigate the possibilities to construct a Vision Aid for visually handicapped. The Vision Aid supposes to give the visually handicapped a feeling of the landscape surrounding them. After 4 months of investigation, test, construction and programming a solution has been produced. By measure a distance with ultrasonic sensor and a microprocessor pulsing out signals in consideration of the distance. The signals to visually handicapped is transferred by feeling, since hearing is the most important sense the visually handicapped has left. Due to that cause we do not want to mess hearing up with sound signals. The signal transfer to the feeling sense is constructed with vibrations motor that vibrate differently depending on the distance to the object. Technical level: Examination contains electro-mechanic, electronic and programming.
