Abstract [sv]
Ringhals has an inquiry of making a model that describes the revolutions of the diesel engines. To do this the use of collected data from various tests of the engines, the program Matlab and the system identification toolbox were used. There were three different kinds of states for the engine that had to be considered in the modeling process and those were: A start of the diesel engine with or without electrical load and when the revolution of the engine has reached its steady state. A model (ARMAX2220) of the steady state revolution has successfully been created which fulfilled all specifications as well as a non verified model (OE220) due to lack of data in a startup without load. Hence a model of the startup with load of the engine is missing. A dummy for the making of models in Matlab and the system identification toolbox have been created.
