Abstract [sv]
This project is an prolongation to VLAD. The idea with VLAD was to investigate the possibilities to automate a concrete drill. The main task of the project is to adapt a new CPU to the system and develop a wireless communication for the control unit. Laholmarna have a vision that the operator should be able to go around the wall while operating. This demands a signal that can get through reinforced concrete walls. A thorough theoretical study was performed in order to determine which frequency is best suited for the task. In this study the fact that it is sometimes an advantage if the wall is thicker is dealt with. The main factors that effect the transmission of the signal are: the concrete density, the size of the reinforcement squares and so on. There are several methods to compute the signal transmission e.g. FEM, MTL, ray tracing.
