Abstract [sv]
Many wood furnaces today are short of an active regulation of the air flow. Since the air need during a burning varies, it would be an advantage if the air could be automatically regulated to the level that is needed for the moment. With present technique the air flow to the wood furnace can be regulated with a lambda sensor. The sensor is expensive, approximately ten times more costly than a temperature sensor. The main goal with this thesis work is to examine were a temperature sensor should be placed to function as a reference for the regulation of the air flow and also quantify which influence the regulation has on the CO-emissions and the flue gas loses. The accomplished experiments shows that with a regulated air flow the CO-emissions can be halved and the flue gas losses can be reduced with 20% compared with none regulated air flow.
