Abstract [sv]
Biogas Power Generation at Farms – a Concept Feasability Study The aim of the study is to find and examine various technical solutions, which are customized to Biogas propulsion and well-suited for small-scale power generation and heating in private farms, as well as at Plönninge Secondary High School of Natural Resource Management. This enable farmers to resolve their own electricity and heating needs in an environmentally friendly manner. The following solutions were studied: biogas-driven piston engines, including converted diesel and petrol engines; gas turbines; Stirling engines; and fuel cells. One of the power generation solutions have been evaluated in terms of technical efficiency and cost-effeciency. Technical considerations involve which type of CHP that would best serve the purpose.
