Abstract [sv]
The outcome of project Servolock has been that a former manual moment of force when closing the hatch of the washing machine now can successfully be done automatically. This manual moment of force has been perceived as hard to turn for individuals with limited strength in their hands. The hard turning is formed due to the fact that the gasket pressure that has to be created so that the machine should not leak water between the hatch and drum. After the brainstorming several propositions and ideas emerged, which was later reduced to two concrete solutions. The hatch solution which works ideally as an augmented product and can easily be attached on the existing machine. The hidden solution which will mainly be used when standardized. Both solutions are existing to its fullest extent with functional prototypes that has the capacity to eliminate the manual turning moment of force.
