Abstract [sv]

This report is regarding an examine work at 16 points. This work is a part of the third year of the Innovation engineering program at the University of Halmstad. This is a project that goes from an idea to a complete product. The work has been made in cooperation with the company PeBe Produkter AB, a company that make and sell car accessories. The projects main goal has been to accomplish a product that reduce the road noise and that is easy to produce to a low cost. The thought was to reduce the noise which is caused by the tires contact against the road. This creates a low frequent noise, but it also appears a high frequent noise that is caused by the gravel - and water splash. It has been given many demands on the product so that it will be able to work satisfying. This has been a great challenge trying to achieve. This report will present the chosen solution and why certain solutions didn’t go all the way. The result has been Silence! This is a working prototype that fulfil all the expectations and that reduce the sound level up to 50 %! This report will also present a proposition of how to manufacture this product and what the price would be for the customer.
