Abstract [sv]

The purpose with this thesis is to examine what differences and similarities there are in entrepreneurship between Swedish small-sized enterprises, either with high positive growth or negative growth. Before we conducted our study we had the belief that entrepreneurship can take place in all types of organizations in varying amount. With this in mind we have been gauging entrepreneurship in 86 Swedish small-sized enterprises by telephone questionnaires. 43 companies had shown a positive high growth, and 43 had a negative growth. The companies were randomly selected with no particular industry concentration. To create validity for our study, we used Brown, Davidsson and Wiklunds (2001) instrument. Information have then been analyzed in the statistical computer program SPSS to find differences and similarities in the material. The result of this thesis is that we may say that companies with high positive growth are not more entrepreneurial than companies with negative growth.
