Abstract [sv]
In the health care system of today it is necessary to have both a digital and a paper copy of the medical journals. The problem is that it takes a lot of time to transfer the information from hand to computer. Time that the doctor could have used for patient care instead. Our project is built on the Anoto functionality, witch shortly contains a special paper and a pen with a camera inside that register what the hand is writing. The digital script on the paper is stored in the memory of the pen. The information is then transferred to an application through a cradle where the script is translated and is shown in the application. The only thing the user has to do is to check and correct mistakes if necessary, and then sign the form. The information will be sent to the database at the hospital, where it stores. In our project we have constructed an application and a form with Anoto functionality that looks like the one they are using at the hospital today, all to get the savings as soon as possible. The project was evaluated at the Intensive care Unit at Halmstad hospital. As it is today they use approximately fifteen minutes per patient just to transform the information from the journal to the database. With our system and the Anoto technique the time is reduced to about four minutes, witch means big savings for the hospital treatment.
