Abstract [en]
Tool for learning words is a bachelor degree project at Halmstad University in Sweden. The idea is initially from a student at Interaction design institute in Ivrea (Italy), so this is a cooperation between the two schools. His research aims at children interaction and learning in a group. The project is an aid for four to five year old children to form words in a playful and stimulating way. The project contents of a number of cubes each controlled by a microprocessor and with short-range wireless communication between them. Each cube shows a letter in random order. Together the cubes shows a word but with the letters in the wrong order. The task is to place the cubes in right combination to form the specific word. When the alignment is right the cube gives a reward to the user.
