Abstract [sv]
The aim of this study was to describe injured athletes situation from three aspects on their rehabilitation. These aspect were: the way back/social support, motivation and coping. The criterion to be part of the study was: that the interviewees should have injured themselves in an athletic situation and that the rehabilitation should be longer than a month. Eight interviews were made on two women and six men. The method used was qualitative and interviews were made. The result showed that the support from the sports association was varying and the support from the doctors had been very little. To come back to their respective sport was the highest motivater among the interviewees. But also to do what they thought was fun and to move about freely. Most of the interviewees meet adversitis well and try to find something good in it as well as learning something from it instead.
