Abstract [sv]
This Bachelor thesis describes a project aimed at creating a communication module which easily can be connected to an FPGA-system that uses the soft MicroBlaze processor from Xilinx Inc. The processor will be able to send data through its data bus to the communication module that sends the data to another FPGA-board through an extern communication port. The communication module is implemented in the hardware description language VHDL. Drivers for sending and receiving data with the processor are implemented in C. The solution that has been developed is able to send data between two separate FPGA-boards through the board’s LVDS-ports. The system can send data with a speed of 48Mbit/s.
