Abstract [sv]
In the world of business the rate of development has changed. Time from product introduction to death has increased. Many companies can't handle this alone so they cooperate with other companies. In this essay the authors have examined the phenomenon strategic alliances in general. The purpose of the essay is to identify sucessfactors in early development of strategic alliances. The result of the essay is six successfactors. By setting up criteria's for a future partner a better basis for the co-operation can be established. By lifting the co-operation out from the holding companies the alliance can act independently. Goals and visions in the alliance should be created and developed through interaction between the staff and management. Learning is a basic condition for successful co-operation in the alliance. When recruiting personnel the specific conditions of the strategic alliance should be considerated. In the initial stage power and control should be minimized.
