Abstract [sv]

This dissertation describes the development of a new door for school lockers for Sonesson Inredningar AB. This development has been in response to Sonesson’s design specification asking for a new door with a different shape. This solution should be aimed at competing with other companies in the market. In addition the door should be aesthetically pleasing while at the same time retaining the safety and strength of the previous design. The dissertation moves on to discuss the background to the problem and assess the solutions to the construction and design of a new door which have resulted in the production of a prototype. The new door is aimed to be used in schools together with Sonessons available sections of frames.
