Abstract [en]

This dissertation project is taking place at Högskolan Halmstad, Maskiningenjörslinjen Konstruktion & Design and in collaboration with Volvocars in Gothenburg. To be able to, in an effective way construct a modern car in short time the Cad software Catia V5 is the excellent help. With a generative model of the part of the car in question the time it takes to construct a similar part for a new car model is reduced by several percents. The A- and B-post of the car, which are located at the bodyside of the car, is one of these parts that is possible to build as a generative part. The project consisted of constructing this part in a way, which made it possible to use in future car models in such way only regenerating the model with the desirable dimensions.
