Vi har här utformat en strategisk marknadsplan baserad på McDonald (2002). Planens horisont är alltså snarare på treårssikt, än på det närmaste året. Dock återfinns en taktisk ettårsplan som en senare del i marknadsplanen. Att försöka ta ut strategisk effektiva ledningsriktlinjer innebär kort sagt att försöka lista ut vad som är rätt sak att göra för Transportex.
