Abstract [en]
Forest management in Sweden has changed and forestry has increased through out the 20 centure. Until 1950 the idea of cler-cutting an area did not exist in Sweden. Instead were only the largest trees cut down, by hand, and the smaller trees were left to grow (Skogsvårdsstyrelsen, Västra Götaland 2000). In the forest cattle were also grazing, leaving moorland behind (Floravård i skogsbruket allmän del 1988).
