Abstract [sv]

Försvarsmaktens Halmstadsskolor have a weather reporting system. Its task is to display current weather. Weather information is received from sensors around the runway. The current system is expensive and requires special computers. The purpose of the project, ”Klient- serverbaserad väderpresentation i Java”, is to maintain a system that is better than the present one. Better means platform independent and simple to use. ”Klient- serverbaserad väderpresentation i Java” shows that it is possible. The solution contains three different main parts: one data collecting, one database and one presentation. This results in a distributed system where the presentation can be observed on several computers simultaneously.
