Abstract [sv]

The number of devices that the everyday-person has in their home is growing every day. Almost everyone of these devices have their own control, the tv, video, dvd and so on. With the Bluetooth-technology emerging at the horizon this problem can soon be a thing of the past. Bluetooth is integrated in most new mobile phones. What we are showing in our project is how to control devices that are connected to the electrical net via WOB(WAP over Bluetooth). In layman’s terms, we are turning on a lamp, which is connected to a wall socket, by using our mobile phone. This is only a fraction of what can be done with Bluetooth. The most significant difference between Bluetooth-technology and a regular remote control is that with Bluetooth one can get responses because it is a 2-way-communication.
