Abstract [sv]
The purpose of this study was to investigate how students of the cyclesport academy conceptualize their situation on the academy and their future. Nine cyclesport students in second and third grade, six males and three female were interviewed. The coach of the academy was also interviewed. The method used was qualitative and interviews were made. Themes that emerged in the interview guide was Preferences & Options, Future, Social Support, Goalsetting, Motivation and Gender aspect. The result showed that the students are unanimous that the cyclesport academy promotes their development. Some of the students regarded that they don´t get enough of attention from the academy teachers/coach. Most of the students see their future as positive and they believe that they will continue to cycle after academy. Some of the students believe that there could be problems to motivate themselves after academy, because the situation at the academy is to good. Many of the students think that they will continue to study at higher level, in most cases, after the cycle carrier. The students believe that their studying has suffered a bit because of the cycling, but it doesn´t seem to have caused them any problems.
