The group consisted of eight women and one from whom them were teachers, two were other school personnel and one was an organizer. The results of this study showed that health-promoting methods could be: increased physical activity, values clarifications, dramatic and stress reducing methods such as relaxation and massage. The study also showed that it is important that parents, children and schools personnel participate in the evaluation of a health promoting school. The results even showed that this is a work that takes time and that all participants need a common vision. The health promotion work has to be continuative to make results. The health promoting schools that exist are a way to reach WHO:s aim of better equivalent in health. But the health promoting schools are too few; they have to be more common to make a differance for the Swedish health status.
