Within today´s society in Sweden, we have the knowledge and economic to live a healthy lifestyle. In spite that, has the health in younger persons impaired. Stress problems, obesity, impaired fitness and impaired food habits have increased during the last years. The aim behind this study was to describe how personnel at health promoting schools experienced their health strategies. The method used in this study was qualitative with a phenomenographic sign. The specific qualitative method used in this study was carried out by interviews. The nine individuals from the health promoting schools were strategically chosen. The group consisted of eight women and one from whom them were teachers, two were other school personnel and one was an organizer. The results of this study showed that health-promoting methods could be: increased physical activity, values clarifications, dramatic and stress reducing methods such as relaxation and massage. The study also showed that it is important that parents, children and schools personnel participate in the evaluation of a health promoting school. The results even showed that this is a work that takes time and that all participants need a common vision. The health promotion work has to be continuative to make results. The health promoting schools that exist are a way to reach WHO:s aim of better equivalent in health. But the health promoting schools are too few; they have to be more common to make a differance for the Swedish health status.
