Abstract [en]
A crisis i a situation faced by an individual, group or organization in which they are unable to cope with by the use of normal routine procedures and which stress is created by sudden change. Considering the broad scope of this definition, we have decided to focus on internal crisis. In that case, the problems rise within the company. Three levels of management can be integrated in the organization: Strategic, middle line management and operational level. Upon the strategic level, the main problems are usually the result of a poor management. Regarding the middle line management, the mistakes occur from the tactical decision level due to the negligence of some decision-makers. At the bottom of the organization stands the operational level. The operators who perform the basic decisions and tasks related directly to the production of products and services. At this step, the crisis is easily forseeable because the power distance between the top and bottom line is large. For this report we have decided to select 2 of these 3 levels of management: Middle line and operational. Basically we don´t want to limit our report on the lack of competence, or personality of top managers, but extend it to other actors of the organization. This choise leads to some unforseeable crisis where top managers have to react very quickly in order to tackle the crisis and not be the cause of them.
