Abstract [sv]
S/BIT is a multifunctional computerised information terminal, manoeuvred with a touchscreen, produced to increase the security within companies. The need for increased security within the world of business has grown drastically. This, together with the need for getting a better view of the production line has resulted in the idea of producing a computer terminal for controlling machines and production, with identification requirements. The person is identified through a combination between different biometric systems, such as fingerprint, face and voice recognition. The product could also be used as an identification terminal to grant access to buildings, or everywhere where the information behind the screen should not be shown to unauthorised people. This report gives an idea of the development of the idea towards a functioning prototype, as a starting point for production. We have also looked at the market situation and alternative usage of the product.
