Abstract [sv]
Telephone advice is one of the fastest growing areas within nursing. This is largely due to economic effectiveness and increasing public demand. This literature review study seeks to highlight factors, which may impact on the quality of care given through telephone advice. There is a lack of unanimity among the articles regarding which factors are (or can be) used to measure quality of care through telephone advice. However, it is clear that education, training and continual support are important factors and contribute to the quality of telephone advice as a whole. Future research is recommended in order to develop ways of measuring the quality of care in telephone nursing, and thereby at the same time, focusing on the nursing profession.
